Spring Swap Blog Hop at Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Fan Page!

Phew, that was a mouthful!

Yes, in efforts to keep myself well socialized and incorporate some crafty fun on a regular basis, I once again joined into the swap held over on the SBS Facebook page-if you guys haven't checked out the store, you are missing out! Super cute images that I pinxinx-promise to have all colored up and and I'll try to get posted on my blog. Still looking for the right gadget to do it all for me. My phone is loaded up with all my pictures, my tablet is on her last leg and I really need it for work, and I'm just getting to know my ipad mini (when I can pry it away from my daughter's hands!) So for now, please just bear with spotty blog posts, or friend me on Facebook, I regularly post my craftabulous creations there! Ok, so now for the F-U-N stuff! My swap partner was Veronica Rosenshein, a former craft store owner on the East Coast...no pressure! OMG, I thought what could I possibly send her that she doesn't already have?!? And what fabulous goodies would I get? She hit this one out of the park, I was over the moon opening this box...the thing about swaps...it's like Christmas opening up that box! Check out my new goodies:
Here is the super sweet tag Veronica enclosed with my package!

DO YOU SEE THE GOODIES HERE?!?! I about died when I opened up the box! I have Thickers, a cling alpha set, a few packages of clothespins, some AWESOME rubber sentiment/background stamps and don't forget those wild orchid flowers! I couldn't tell you what was the best thing in this box. Everything was just perfect! I'm loving the mini cutting mat-that is super handy!

But these....these simply took my breath away. Look at these gorgeous images! I  recently started up a new art journal...these dreamy images just speak to my creative feminine power. I just love them!

Well that does it for this post. I want to thank Veronica again for the lovely project and for Betty and Corinne and all the other super supportive, fabulous ladies at the SBS fan page. Hope to see you over there! In the meantime, hop over to my other crafty friends blogs to see what they were sent!

Simply Betty Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Hello Crafties!

Today is the day to show off all the yummy goodies we received during our Valentine's Day Swap over on the Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Fan Page. What? You haven't checked it out yet, what are you, crazy?! Get over there, and become a fan! There are so many super cute images available in the store, believe me your Copics will love all the attention they will get-and your Spectrum Noirs, and your Prismacolors...you know what I mean!

My Swap partner is Emily from the UK! I was so excited to see all the goodies she found for me, so without further ado, feast your eyes on my booty...er, I mean, my Valentine stash!

Look at all that crafty goodness! The card-ADORABLE!, The bag everything was packaged in had me giggling like a kid again....Emily, thank you so much for the die, the sweet little alpha set, the spooky chandelier stamp and die cuts, the heart mask, the heart printer's tray and all the sweet bits and bobs you included. I think I'm already missing a few...I got excited and had to play!

That's it for me today...and yes, I know, I need to post more often. If I could remember to take a picture of my crafts before sending them out, that would be a great start, eh! Now, go on, hop on over to check out the rest of the swap!

December Challenge for Simply Betty Stamps

Over on the Facebook Fan page, Corinne posted a December Challenge using the Simply Betty Stamp image, Candy Cane London. Here is my card for that challenge! I had so much fun coloring her-and I had no problems piling on the glitter and using my Spica Atyou pen everywhere I could think of! I got my twinkles in from my Amuse Studio order too, so I had to use the stars to bling up Miss London's skirt. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't do all the sparkle justice, but I love it all the same!

My December Challenge Entry for Some Odd Girl!

Well, here she is, my first official challenge post! If you like Bright Lights Kaylee, be sure to check out the rest of Kristy's super cute images at SOG!

Time keeps on slippin'...into the future

Hello Lovlies,

Well, it's been over a year since my last post. Work has been crazy, we packed up and moved into a bigger place, got a puppy, lost my mojo, blah blah blah...the point is, I'm back and I'm making a lot of commitments to myself, my art and my blog.

Part of the problem at the old place was, it was so small! There was no dedicated place for anything. I got this spiffy contraption to give my stuff a home-but really it was just to get things put away and out of sight in cubbies. I've collected quite a few wonderful things for my crafting stash, but without a proper system in place to utilize everything. Then it got to the point where I could only craft for a few minutes here and there-which meant I spent most of my time LOOKING for what I wanted to craft with. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

While I'm getting myself organized, I'm also taking a step back to really think about where I've put my crafting money and where my heart is. I have been a Stampin' Up demonstrator for almost 2 years, and while there's plenty to love, there is still plenty that isn't quite doing it for me. I have a few companies that I adore everything they put out, so at this point I need to make a decision. In order to buy anything, I have to commit to participating in that company's online challenges, for use in my own crafty get-togethers, or because I have a specific person that I need to make something for. While that seems broad and full of loop-holes, I have already completed one card for the December Sketch Challenge at the Some Odd Girl blog, which I'll be posting shortly. I also have another challenge in the works, this time for Simply Betty Stamps. I can't wait to get started on that one!

More later on how I'm getting organized and what other challenges I'm up to. In the meantime, stay crafty!
